Four-Passenger or Six-Passenger Golf Cart: Find Your Fit

Start with the people who will ride with you most often. Then think about occasional guests, your storage space, and the way each cart feels during a visit.

Count your usual passengers

Write down your normal passenger count and the largest group you realistically expect to carry. Choose a vehicle designed for that use, and confirm its seating and load ratings with the dealer. A seat count alone does not tell you the full load capacity.

Try the actual seating layout

Two carts with the same number of seats can feel different. Sit in the positions you expect to use, check foot room, and consider how easily passengers can enter and exit. Look at seating orientation and storage arrangements rather than relying only on a photograph.

Measure where it will live

Compare the cart’s length, width, and height with the usable opening and space in your garage or storage area. Include any fitted roof, windshield, and accessories in your measurements. If transport is part of your plan, confirm the loaded vehicle’s requirements with the equipment provider.

Compare the complete vehicle

Ask about the exact battery or engine, manufacturer specifications, charger if applicable, and available service. Test drive suitable models in an appropriate setting and compare steering, braking, visibility, and comfort. Choose the configuration that supports your routine.
